A photo collection born from the documentary “Hanako” – a film calmly following the days of the Imamura family in Kyoto. Hanako, the protagonist, regularly commutes to a community workshop for the disabled. Like how a paparazzo might shadow a celebrity, Kawauchi traces Hanako’s steps as she leads out her day – simply capturing Hanako with her lens as she commutes from her home to the park, gymnasium, and to the workshop. Kawauchi’s volume shows the Imamura family through a different set of eyes.
